MAYWOOD, N.J. -- A school bus occupied by only the driver and an aide rear-ended a car on Route 17 in Maywood Thursday afternoon, police said.
The driver of the struck car sustained a head injury but declined immediate medical attention after the 1:25 p.m. crash on the northbound highway just north of Essex Street, Police Chief David Pegg told Daily Voice.
The bus driver and aide didn't immediately complain of injuries, he said.
The school bus had to be towed from the scene, Pegg said.
