CLIFFVIEW PILOT SCOOP: A maintenance worker behind the wheel of a school bus rolled up to a 15-year-old Bogota girl, hugged her and pulled her into the bus, then let her go after a brief conversation, authorities said, in announcing his arrest on luring and endangerment charges this afternoon.

The shaken girl went home and told her mother, who went to Bogota police. Detective Jon Misskerg then identified and found 50-year-old Darren Clark of Catalpa Avenue in Hackensack.
Clark, who is single and works for Morgan Educational Services Incorporated in Hackensack, is being held on $75,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail following his arrest by local police and County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli’s Special Victims Unit.
The girl told investigators she was walking alone in the area of River Road and Elm Avenue at 6 o’clock Wednesday night when Clark pulled up.
He “engaged the victim in conversation and exited the school bus,” Molinellil said. “He then hugged the victim and pulled her into the bus.”
He kept talking but after only a few minutes let her off the bus, the prosecutor said.
“It should should be noted that Clark is a maintenance worker for the bus company and … was driving the bus for maintenance purposes,” Molinelli said.
Records show he is scheduled for an April 22 arraignment in Bogota Municipal Court.
