Lauren Mitchell, 32, was ordered held on $300,000 combined bail in the Bergen County Jail by Superior Court Judge James J. Guida in Hackensack this morning.

The judge also told Mitchell’s husband that he will lose whatever bail money he posts for his wife if she offends again.

Mitchell was free on $150,000 bail — posted hours after her June 19 arrest — when she searched online for tips on how to make calls that couldn’t be traced to her, authorities charged.

The victim then received two calls that she didn’t answer, followed by a text from Mitchell with a pet name that she had for the girl, they said.

Several teachers at the Dr. Lena Edwards Academic Charter School, where Mitchell taught second grade, went to authorities after they “observed what they believed was inappropriate interactions” between her and the eighth grader, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said last month.

They charged her with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment (SEE: JC charter school teacher charged with having sex with female student, 15, at Lyndhurst home).

Investigators from Molinelli’s Special Victims Unit and Lyndhurst police again arrested Mitchell last night on a warrant signed by Guida, court records show.
