HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Hackensack firefighters extricated a passenger whose ankle was trapped between the rocker panel and the floorboard after the car she was in slammed into a pole.
Both the passenger and driver were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that weren't life-threatening after the 12:30 p.m. crash on Passaic Street, Fire Capt. Justin Derevyanik told DAILY VOICE.
The driver told responders that she lost control of the car before the crash.
She complained of neck and back pain, Derevyanik said.
Rescue One and Engine 5 removed the door and freed the passenger, he said.
