HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A Hackensack bus driver was killed in an Oct. 7 crash on I-95 southbound in Norwalk, CT, a day before his 32nd birthday.
Henry Woolfson, a native of Guayaquil, Ecuador, was behind the wheel when the bus rear-ended a tractor-trailer just north of Exit 14 in the center lane, according to police reports.
Pinned inside, Woolfson had to be extricated by Norwalk firefighters.
He was taken to Norwalk Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the tractor-trailer wasn't injured, authorities said.
Of the 41 passengers on the bus, 18 were sent to Norwalk Hospital and Stamford Hospital with injuries that police said weren't life-threatening.
An investigation was continuing.
