New Milford police have issued a sketch of a man a 17-year-old girl said pulled up to her and asked if she wanted a ride while she was walking home from school.
He’s white, in his mid-40s, with a large nose, thick eyebrows and a bad complexion, she said. He is either balding or has a receding hairline.
The girl said she was walking along Henley Avenue near the Boulevard intersection when the stranger pulled up around 2:30 Thursday afternoon in a silver, four-door vehicle (“like a Honda”).
She kept walking and he left, she said.
Hours later, a 10-year-old New Milford girl reported a similar incident near the Faller Drive/ River Road intersection.
There isn’t much of a description, but she said a white man in a parked, silver four-door car rolled his window down as she walked past and tried to make conversation. She said she ran away.
Anyone with information that could find those responsible in the attempted luring incidents is asked to call the New Milford police department (201-261-1400) or their local police. If you see something happening, dial 911 and try to intervene if you can.
