Jorge Perez, 43, also had $1,271 in suspected drug proceeds on hand, which was confiscated in the Jackson Avenue raid on Friday, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Monday.

Grewal said his detectives began watching Perez after a tipster told them he was dealing.

They charged him with various drug possession counts.

Perez originally was sent to the Bergen County Jail pending a hearing in Central Processing Court in Hackensack, where a judge freed him.
