4 Charged With Making Girls, 14, 15, Sex Slaves In South Hackensack Motel

SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. – South Hackensack police rescued three underage girls from sexual slavery at a Route 46 motel, leading to the arrests of a Paterson woman and three alleged accomplices from Long Island, authorities said Wednesday.

Tipped off that 14- and 15-year-old girls were being pimped out of the motel, South Hackensack police notified the Bergen County Prosecutor's Special Victims Unit.

Stephanie Boneta, 23, of Rosa Parks Boulevard, remained held on $225,000 bail ln the Bergen County Jail, charged with facilitation of human trafficking and child endangerment, following her arrest Wednesday.

She was scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on Oct. 31, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Arrested extradition from Suffolk County, NY, were Edwin Boneta, 22, of Central Islip, Selena Boneta, 19, of West Babylon, and Jefferson Contreras, 18, of Bay Shore, Grewal said.

All three are charged with human trafficking, promoting prostitution of a juvenile and child endangerment, he said.

They were scheduled for arraignments Wednesday in Suffolk County District Court in Central Islip, and will remain in the Suffolk County Correctional Center pending their extradition to New Jersey, Grewal said.
