HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Paul F. Nichols, 49, died June 16, 2016.
Born in Jersey City, he served in the U.S. Army and had been a resident of Bergen County for the past 15 years.
He was a journalist and the owner of the Bergen Dispatch newspaper in Hackensack and a member of the NAACP and the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists.
He was the father of Paul F. Nichols Jr. and Emma Nichols, both of Hasbrouck Heights; the son of the late Howard F. and Betty L. (nee Yeagley) Nichols; the brother of Howard F. Nichols Jr. and his wife Julia of Wayne, Catherine Zimmermann and her husband Dennis of Pennsylvania, Sue Gannon and her husband Mike of Augusta and Patricia Nichols of North Arlington; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington.
