MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Ada Muccio Asala, of Maywood and formerly of Hackensack, died Monday, Aug. 29. She was 81.
Prior to retiring, she worked for Ideal Sausage and Garatano Coat factory in Hackensack.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack and a member of its St. Pio Prayer Group.
She was the mother of Vincenza Lewis, Ralph Asala and his wife Lisa and Olga Arroyo; grandmother of Shawn, Gabriella, Michael, Ralph, Ashley, Jesus, Christopher and Rebecca; great-grandmother of Layla and Alayna; and sister of Vanda Muccio, Anna Muccio, Angelina Muccio and the late Gennaro Muccio, Rosetta Giraldi and Antonio Muccio.
The funeral will be at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, 397 Union St., Hackensack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi St., Hackensack. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddle Brook. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
