Hackensack Businesses Still Without Power Day After Truck Downs Pole

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Several Hackensack businesses remain without power more than 12 hours after a tractor-trailer downed a utility pole on Commerce Way.

Police on the scene said power might not be restored until 1 or 2 p.m.

PSE&G arrived at the scene at 9:30 a.m. to start restoring the lines.

Businesses without power include Mavis Tire, Retro Fitness, Westy Self-Storage, Petco, Applebees and several other businesses just north of Riverside Square Mall and south of New Bridge Landing.
