Hackensack Building Named After City's First Black Public Defender

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The building at 10 Banta Place in Hackensack will soon bear the name of the City's first African-American public defender.

The building that currently holds the Bergen Family Center will be named The Gray Building after Navarro Gray during a ceremony on Friday at 2 p.m. 

Several local officials are scheduled to be in attendance including: Mayor John Labrosse, Deputy Mayors David Sims and Kathleen Canestrino as well as City Council members.
