HACKENSACK, N.J. -- ArtsBergen is seeking visual artists for the CAT Walk Art Exhibition -- and the submission deadline is Wednesday, May 11.
"CAT" is the Creative Arts Team of the Hackensack Main Street Alliance. The group is seeking adult visual artists who do drawing, mixed media, painting and printmaking to display their work at this outdoor exhibition in Hackensack. This event will celebrate local and regional artists. Demarest Place, the "Artwalk" in Hackensack, will come to life with displays of art, art demos and live music.
Each artist will be given a 6-by-6 space along Demarest Place: no space fees apply. The work must be wall-mountable and family appropriate.
Artists will be selected based on creativity and artistic merit by a panel of artists on the CAT. Applicants should electronically submit 5-10 portfolio items -- indicating artist name, medium, and size -- by email firstname.lastname@example.org. All work must be original. Twenty-four artists will be selected.
The art show is on Saturday, June 4, from 12-5 p.m., at Demarest Place and Main Street, in Hackensack. The rain date is Sunday, June 5.
