“As someone who had absolutely no experience with programming, I now feel confident and well-equipped to begin a career in web design and development," said Christel, who came to Web Design Learning Center of NJ as a freelance artist designer. "The classes are well-structured and build a strong foundation for students like me, who have no prior knowledge of programming."
Classes run the gamut from introductory to advanced. In Web Level 1, students learn to code websites from scratch using HTML and CSS. The Level 5 curriculum transforms the average designer to a programmer and teaches students how to process user input through forms, working with databases and building online presence.
Never coded in your life? Fear not, say many alumni. “I wasn’t a very computer literate person before taking this class, but I’m really surprised how fast I learned and picked things up," said Gene, a construction inspector. "The instructors really know their stuff and it shows – especially in how they explain things and in the examples they give.”
Classes are held Monday through Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00PM. Want to learn more? On Monday, June 27th, Web Design Learning Center of New Jersey will be having an open house for anyone interested in taking classes. It will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at their 5 West Passaic St. location in Rochelle Park, and will provide prospective students with a brief overview of what they do and what students can do with their new skills.
