HACKENSACK, N.J. — Almost 30 employees from NAI James E. Hanson laced up their cleats for the company's first annual softball game in Hackensack's Foschini Park.

Mayor John Labrosse threw out the first pitch at Thursday's afternoon game, with company President Bill Hanson leading the Black Hats and Vice President Ron Fotiu leading the Red Hats.

NAI Hanson has been an active member of the Hackensack Community since the 1960s.

NAI Hanson built the 235 Moore St. building, which used to be Gilly’s parking lot.

The company supports a number of local charities including:

  • The Center for Food Action’s Back-to-School drive
  • Children’s Cancer Institute’s Corporate FunRun to help raise money to tackle kids cancer
  • "All Wrapped Up," a program of the Volunteer Center of Bergen County, when each employee selected a family or individual and purchased items on their wish list. Gift cards were also supplied to those who needed assistance with food.
