MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Students from Memorial Elementary School and Maywood Avenue School displayed their artwork in a spring art exhibit at Paintbrush Studio on Wednesday evening.

Maywood Avenue School art teacher Genecie Azzollini organized the exhibit, which featured more than 50 pieces of art, from her classes and those of Claire Palm, art teacher in Memorial School.

Paintbrush Studio owner Tina Homer "was extremely inviting and enjoyed hosting our event," Azzollini said. "We are looking forward to having our next exhibit there next year."

Besides parents and students, teachers, the mayor and superintendent all showed up to support the town's art programs. "Our superintendent, (Maywood Avenue Principal) Michael Jordan and many others were amazed with the beautiful and meaningful artwork that our students created," Azzollini said.
