HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Hackensack University Medical Center has become one of only five major academic medical centers in the nation to be named to Healthgrades' list of "America’s 50 Best Hospitals" for at least five consecutive years.
“We are tremendously proud to provide consumers access to some of the highest quality of care in the nation,” said Robert C. Garrett, president and chief executive officer of Hackensack University Health Network. “We remain focused on providing clinical quality and excellence. Patients and healthcare consumers are more involved and informed in their care than ever, and transparency to performance is a key piece of information that guides them to the most appropriate provider with the best clinical outcomes.”
Evan Marks, Healthgrades’ chief strategy officer, praised the medical center for its efforts.
“Healthgrades has witnessed the leadership and innovation emblematic of Hackensack UMC and applauds their unwavering efforts to drive continuous improvement,” Marks said. “Hospitals that have achieved Healthgrades distinctions year after year demonstrate a long-term commitment to the delivery of exceptional quality of care.”
