HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Two Hackensack High School alumni participated in the Ridgewood Guild Film Festival on Wednesday, April 20. The festival ran from Tuesday to Thursday.

Amanda Kaminsky, of Hackensack, wrote, directed, edited, produced and acted in the short film "In Too Deep," for the Montclair University Film Studies Program. Maywood's Samantha Pernetti starred in that 26-minute horror short, shot entirely at the now-defunct Oritani Field Club, in Hackensack.

The film festival's opening night was at the Ridgewood Public Library, and its final two nights were at Bow Tie Cinemas. For more information about the Ridgewood Guild and its other events, visit its website, or follow it on Facebook or Twitter.
