HACKENSACK, N.J. – Educators from Hackensack, Paterson and Passaic were among a handful from New Jersey recently recognized by the New York Jets and the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA).
When the NJEA and the Jets set out to honor “outstanding” educators and educational support professionals, they received a slew of nominations from colleagues, family members, students and community members.
They managed to narrow the nomination down to ten honorees. Among those honored were:
- Mary McGuire, a language arts teacher at Hackensack Middle School
- Carlos Miranda, a science teacher at Charles J Riley School #9 in Paterson
- Marcella Drumright, a paraprofessional at Mario Drago School #3 in Passaic
They each were selected to receive four Club-level tickets to a Jets home game and to be recognized during the NY Jets game day radio broadcast on ESPN Radio 98.7 FM.
