Incumbent Freeholder Thomas J. Sullivan (172,793) was joined by fellow Democrats Mary J. Amoroso (172,793), a Mahwah councilwoman, and Germain M. Ortiz (168,378), a former Palisades Park councilwoman, in finishing in the money.

Behind them were Republicans John J. Driscoll Jr. (138,127), a former freeholder who made an unsuccessful bid for state Senate several years ago; DeNicola (136,809); and Robert Di Dio (133,263).

Sullivan served out current County Executive Jim Tedesco's term on the board before winning his first full term on Tuesday.

Republican freeholder John Felice didn't seek re-election.

All totals were unofficial.
