HACKENSACK, N.J. — A former Hackensack clerk who accused the city of discrimination for her relationship with a political opponent of the mayor and his administration will be receiving a $775,000 payment, NorthJersey.com reports.

Ex-city clerk Debra Heck was approved to receive the payment in a 3-2 vote Tuesday evening, the article says.

Deputy Mayor Kathy Canestrino and Councilman Leo Battaglia voted against the payment, according to NorthJersey.com.
