Woman Struck By Car In Garfield

GARFIELD, N.J. -- A woman struck by a car in Garfield was hospitalized Friday with injuries that police said weren't life-threatening.

The car mounted the sidewalk, struck a house and hit the pedestrian at the corner of Jewell Street and Semel Avenue around 2:30 p.m., responders told Daily Voice.

A mangled stroller was found at the scene, but no one had been in it, police said.

No charges or summonses were immediately filed.

An investigation was continuing.
