Tractor-Trailer Downs Utility Pole On Route 17 In Ramsey

RAMSEY, N.J. (UPDATE) -- Northbound Route 17 was partially reopened hours after a tractor-trailer struck a utility pole in front of Houlihan's in Ramsey.

The 5:32 a.m. crash took down the transformer and pole, dragging cable lines across the highway, responders told Daily Voice.

The driver was taken to the Valley Hospital with minor injuries.

The right lane and the Lake Street exit remained closed past 9:30 a.m. as utility crews repaired the damage.
