YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: The third man charged in the shooting death of a New Milford man over the weekend sold the .9mm gun to the man accused of pulling the trigger, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli announced today.
As CLIFFVIEW PILOT originally reported, 22-year-old Nicholas Questal was arrested late Monday and brought into court in Hackensack yesterday morning along with Byron Sankar — who is charged with the “reckless” accidental shooting of Alex Bridge, also 22, before dawn Saturday — and Aaron McMorris, who Molinelli said was with Sankar when the gun went off.

In what the prosecutor called “in an effort to root out the transfer and sale of illegal firearms in North Jersey,” detectives assigned to his Crimes Unit traced the gun’s illegal sale to Questal, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, who he said has been living in Orange.
Questal, who Molinelli said works as a construction laborer in New York City, was being held on $75,000 bail.
“The investigation revealed that [Questal] sold the 9mm handgun to Byron Sankar earlier this summer at Sankar’s East Orange residence for $350,” the prosecutor said, adding that the weapon hasn’t yet been found.
