ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- Assisted by their police chief, Rochelle Park detectives on Tuesday captured a man who they said pulled a gun and fled during an argument last week.
Jermin Fordyce, 26, of Hackensack, was wearing the same "00" jersey sweatshirt he had on in a photo distributed by police last week when a team of officers grabbed him as he walked on Colling Avenue, Detective Sgt. James DePreta told Daily Voice.
A judg ordered Fordyce held on $60,000 bail on charge of aggravated assault and weapons counts.
Police Chief Robert Flannelly joined DePreta in the surveillance -- along with Capt. William Flannelly, Detective Chris Bermudez and Officers Ken Stapleton and Franklin Laboy -- which led to Fordyce's arrest at 1:15 p.m.
Fordyce, who has an extensive criminal history, pulled a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun that police found after being called to the home last Wednesday night, DePreta said.
