City Narcotics Unit investigators set up outside The Oak low-rise apartment building at 484 E. 24th Street, then followed a car involved in a drug deal, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

They arrested two occupants from Pompton Plains -- identified as Scott Dudas, 18, and Hunter Delaney, 19 -- after finding them with nine bags of heroin stamped "Free El Chapo, Speziale said.

Two hours later, the detectives grabbed Lameek Taylor, 18, and Gaston Navarro, 32, both of Paterson, the director said.

Taylor was carrying 500 bags of heroin, he said.

The investigators obtained a search warrant and raided the apartment, assisted by police K-9 Barry.

They charged Taylor and Navarro with a variety of drug and weapons offenses and arrested two more suspects -- one a 17-year-old boy and the other 24-year-old Shaquor Williams, both also of Paterson, Speziale said.
