Paterson Man, 31, Shot In Stomach

PATERSON, N.J. -- A 31-year-old Paterson man was in critical but stable condition with a gunshot wound in the stomach after a weekend argument at a private party, authorities said Monday.

Officers responding to a 12:25 a.m. call at 12th Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard on Saturday found the victim in the home, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

He was taken to Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, the director said.

Speziale asked that anyone with information that could help the investigation contact Detective Francisco Brito or Detective Salvatore Marotta of the Ceasefire Unit at (973) 322-1342.
