The man pulled up in a small gray vehicle just before 5:30 Tuesday night, the Woodland Avenue youngster told police.
She said she immediately snatched up her little brother from the front lawn, ran inside and told their mother.
The mother told police she looked outside, but no one was there.
The man was described as “older,” white, with salt and pepper hair, similar to a man being sought by Maywood police.

Oradell police sent a letter to local schools urging parents to warn their children to avoid strangers and get out of harm’s way if any approach them.
