It was too early to tell whether the holdup was connected to robberies at three other Hudson City Savings Bank branches in Bergen County, the most recent on Nov. 6 in Glen Rock, Lyndhurst Police Capt. John Valente said.

The initial description in Lyndhurst on Thursday was of a tall, light-skinned black man with a medium build, wearing a dark sweatshirt and the NFL team cap, Valente told Daily Voice.

FBI agents and Lyndhurst police were interviewing the teller at the Lewandowski Commons bank off Orient Way. A Bergen County Sheriff's K-9 searched for a trail. The sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence.
