A month-long undercover operation led to the 8 a.m. raid on Contant Avenue across from the Columbus Elementary School, Police Chief Vincent Quatrone said.

“During the operation, detectives witnessed numerous transactions between various buyers and both suspects,” Quatrone said.

Arrested were 26-year-old Lamar Joshua and 31-year-old Leslie Joshua, he said.

Seized along with the pot and $900 in suspected drug proceeds were a scale and boxes of zip-locking bags used to package marijuana for distribution, the chief said.

The Joshuas were released pending hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on various drug charges.

Quatrone said he was “impressed with the diligence of the members of the Lodi Police Department Narcotics Division. Their dedication, patience and hard work put a stop to ongoing drug activity.”
