HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A 52-year-old Glen Rock woman plunged 11 stories to her death from a Hackensack building that houses the local Social Security offices, police confirmed.
"It appears to be a suicide," Capt. Franceco Aqulia, the officer-in-charge of Hackensack police told Daily Voice following the 3 p.m. incident.. "We don't know that there's any connection, but she was going to the Social Security office when she walked off the roof."
The building is located in the Continental Office Plaza Complex at 401 Hackensack Avenue, next to the T.G.I. Fridays restaurant across from Riverside Square.
Hackensack police and the Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification responded. An investigation was continuing.
