The call came in, with a description, at 5:49 a.m. Wednesday, Police Chief Frank DelVecchio said.
Responding officers found 37-year-old Jerry O. Holquin of Hackensack, who they said first tried to claim he was someone else.
Inside his sweatshirt were the GPS devices, a mounting mechanism and charging cords, DelVecchio said.
Holquin is being held on $20,000 bail on three counts of attempted burglary, two counts of receiving stolen property, one count of possession of burglar tools, one count of theft of property lost and one count of hindering apprehension.
DelVecchio asked that any neighboring jurisdiction or residents who may have been victims of any burglaries of bicycles or GPS devices to contact his department, which has property whose owners haven’t been identified.
