So they went to his Knickerbocker Road apartment earlier today and arrested LaForgia, a 57-year-old retired divorcee, on charges of attempted child endangerment and distribution of obscenity to a minor.
Originally from San Diego, LaForgia attended high school in Hyannis, Mass., and claims to have obtained a master’s degree in hospital administration at Columbia University.
Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli thanked Dumont police, as well as the Bergen County PD and both the Maywood and Ridgewood police departments for lending officers to the Computer Crimes Task Force.
LaForgia, meanwhile, is scheduled for his first appearance tomorrow morning in Superior Court in Hackensack.
