Bergen Prosecutor: Print Shop Worker Had Thousands Of Child Porn Files

HACKENSACK, N.J. – A print shop worker from Central Jersey thought he was sharing child pornography with a fellow enthusiast who turned out to be a Bergen County Prosecutor’s detective.

Jimmy Rivera, 41, remained held in the Bergen County Jail Friday pending a detention hearing Monday in Central Judicial Municipal Court in Hackensack, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said.

Rivera, who is married had thousands of files of “nude and sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children” at his Perth Amboy home when investigators raided it on Wednesday, Calo said.

They arrested him on child endangerment and child porn possession charges, the prosecutor said.

Calo thanked the Perth Amboy and Edison police departments and Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office for their assistance. He also thanked local police departments who contributed members to his Cyber Crimes Task Force: Bogota, Lyndhurst and Ramsey.
