HACKENSACK, N.J. – A Hackensack traffic stop of two New York City men turned up nearly nine pounds of cocaine and an automatic weapon, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Tuesday.
Jason L. Scott, 31, a mail carrier from the Springfield Gardens section of Queens, and Shaun A. Henry, 32, his unemployed passenger from Brooklyn, were ordered held on $150,000 bail each in the Bergen County Jail, charged with drug and weapons offenses, the prosecutor said.
Detectives from his department, along with Bergen County Sheriff’s officers and Hackensack police stopped the pair Monday following an investigation, Grewal said.
The street value of the cocaine was about $200,000, he said.
Sept. 28 arraignments were scheduled in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
