William J. Dunphy, 83, Of Maywood

MAYWOOD, N.J. -- William J. Dunphy, 83, of Maywood and formerly of Aberdeen, died Saturday, May 28, 2016. 

He was the father of Susan Dunphy and Bill Dunphy. He also is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth. 

A U.S. Army veteran, he served his country during the Korean War. He was a sales manager for many years in the corrugated box industry, having last worked for the MacMillan Blodell Co. in Jersey City until he retired in 1995.

In the 1970s, he was a member of the Citizens' Advisory Committee to the Maywood Board of Education. From the 1990s to 2007 he served on the Board of Directors at the Peachtree Condominium Corp in, Aberdeen.

Visiting hours are from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave., Maywood. Religious services shall occur during visiting. Entombment will be private at the Green Grove Mausoleum, Keyport.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater New Jersey, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053. Please check back for details of a memorial service to be scheduled at at later date at the Central Unitarian Church in Paramus.
