HACKENSACK, N.J. — William H. Parent, 89, of Hackensack, died Sunday, Oct. 16.
Before retiring, he worked for the Anderson Corp. as a machinist. He was a member of the Old Paramus Reformed Church in Ridgewood, Golden Seniors of Township of Washington, the Masonic Lodge 194 in Ridgefield Park and the Shriners.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served our country proudly during World War II and was a member of the VFW Post 6192 Township of Washington and the Disabled American Veterans.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (nee Janelli).
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey S. Parent; and his wife, Patricia.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. There will be a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Garden of Memories, Township Of Washington.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Old Paramus Reformed Church 660 E. Glen Avenue Ridgewood, NJ 0745.
