MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Werner E. Mayerhoffer, of Maywood, died on Saturday, Jan. 21. He was 87.
Born in Heidelberg, Germany, Mayerhoffer and his wife immigrated to America in 1956. He lived in Maywood for 55 years.
Before he retired in 1996, he was employed by Bliss Electric for over 20 years as a licensed electrician. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, in Maywood.
Mayerhoffer is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elisabeth, and his son, Eric. He was predeceased by his brothers, Karl and Wolfgang.
A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Our Lady Queen of Peace. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus. Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, in Maywood, is assisting with arrangements.
