Vincent P. McHenry, 78, Of Hackensack

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Vincent P. McHenry, of Hackensack, died Monday, Nov. 1. He was 78. 

Prior to retiring, he was a typesetter for the New York Time for many years, he was a member and on the board of the New York Times Credit Union, chairman of its Chapel Union, member of its baseball team, a member of the Dinner Club Union City, a member of the Trotters Club of the Meadowlands and a parishioner of Queen of Peace Church in Maywood. 

He was predeceased by Maria H. (nee Gudmundsson) and the late Rosemary Burns McHenry mother of the three children. 

He is survived by his wife, Veronica T. (nee Walker); children and step-children, Margaret Kozlik and her husband Wayne, Vincent McHenry, Kathleen Wolfe and her husband Joseph, Denise Putnam, Joanne Rivicci and her husband Thomas, Ronald Putnam and his wife Joanne, Pamela Cropley and her husband Kevin and Rose Edwards; numerous grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will begin at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union St., Hackensack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, 400 Maywood Ave., Maywood. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Washington Township. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
