HACKENSACK, N.J. — Former Hackensack resident Thelma Brinson died Saturday, April 23 in Sunbury, N.C. She was 76.
She was born Sept. 23, 1940, to Ida Beamon and William Beamon, one of four children.
Brinson married her husband, Lewis M. Brinson, after moving to Hackensack.
She worked for the New York City Telephone Company and enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Brinson is survived by her two children, Neal L. Brinson and Jennifer L. Brinson; stepchildren Angela and Sharon Brinson; brother Elliott Beamon; and multiple grandchildren, including Tanya Brinson, Marteia S. Modelus, Luis Brinson III, Qiana Brinson, Tiya Bethea, Zhane Sapp, Desiree Moore-Brinson, Alexus Brinson and Alohn Riddick.
She was predeceased by parents; and brothers William II and Ray Beamon.
