Before he retired, Garrone worked for Tuscan Dairy, in Union. He was a member of American Legion Post 170, a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, and a volunteer with the church's Helping Hands Ministry, all in Rochelle Park.
He was also an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Garrone is survived by his children, Robert Garrone and his wife Allyson, and Rocco Garrone and his wife Rosalie, and his grandchildren, Lauren, Robert, Rocco and Christopher.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Belniak), and his daughter, Susan Garrone.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., in Paramus. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, 12 Terrace Ave. Interment will be private.
