MAYWOOD, N.J. — Maywood resident Marion B. Nordt died Monday, May 9. She was 98.
Nordt was an executive secretary for Metlife in New York City for 33 years and later worked for Scholastic Magazine.
A member of the Christian Community Church and Maywood Golden Age, she was a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross, MS Society and Community Blood Bank.
Nordt is survived by nieces Arlene Anderson and her husband Richard and Diane Chormanski and her husband Donald; great-nephews Scott Anderson and his wife Tonia and Christopher Chormanski; great-nieces Kristin Anderson, Cheryl Ryan and Lauren O'Connell and her husband Joey; great-great nephews Ben and Sean Anderson and Lucas O'Connell; and great-great niece Lexi O'Connell.
Nordt was predeceased by her husband, Frank; parents Joseph and Minnie; and sister Viola Beaumont.
The funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave., Maywood. The service is scheduled to follow 10 a.m. at the Christian Community Church, River Edge.
Burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Visiting will take place from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
