HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Lawrence Bentman, of Hackensack, died on Friday, Dec. 5, at Select Hospital in Rochelle Park. He was 72.
Prior to retiring in 2009, he was an Insurance Investigator for the State of New York for 30 years.
He served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the United State Army. Bentman was also a member of the V. F. W. Post # 809 of Little Ferry.
Bentman is survived by his wife Theresa White (Indelicato); children William White and his wife Susan of Hackensack, Denise Tedesco and her husband Michael of River Vale , Brett Bentman and his wife Katie of Grapevine, Texas, and Rhonda Bentman of Orlando, Fla.; Grandchildren Ashley,Samantha, William, Sarah, Hailey, Michael, Anthony, Grant and Bay; and great grandchild Kiley.
Bentman is also survived by his sister Evette Hecht and her husband Marty of Salem, N.Y.; and nephew Matthew Hecht.
Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
