MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Gary J. Nardozza, of Maywood, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15. He was 55.
Nardozza was a freelance graphic designer. He had previously worked for Paulist Press, in Ramsey. He was a member of the Laurel and Hardy Film Club and an avid artist who enjoyed sculpting, painting and wood carving. He also enjoyed his Lionel trains.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, in Maywood.
"Gary will be greatly missed by all; he was a true gentle and generous soul with a big heart," information from the funeral home noted.
Nardozza is survived by his mother, Carmela (Sgro) Nardozza; siblings Joanne Kapinus of Maywood, and Joseph Nardozza Jr. and his wife Terri of Maywood; nephews and nieces Jonathan, Kolby, Jill, Cosmo and Briana; and many close friends.
He was preceded by his father, Joseph Nardozza Sr.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union St., in Hackensack. The funeral will be from the funeral home on Saturday at 8:45 a.m., with a 10 a.m. mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 400 Maywood Ave., in Maywood. Entombment will follow, at Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Washington Township.
