Consentino was born in Paterson and lived in Fair Lawn before moving to Hackensack. "Faye was a passionate and dedicated high school teacher of English, speech and creative writing, retiring after 40 years of service in 2010 from the New Milford School District," information from the funeral home noted.
"Faye was a vivacious, spirited woman with a warm loving smile. She enjoyed many things, but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren."
Consentino is survived by her children, Jill Rapoport and her husband Doug, and Scott Consentino and his wife Kelly; grandchildren Avery and Olivia Consentino, and Allie Rapoport; stepchildren Joseph Consentino and Stephanie Herrunzie; and siblings Gail Sciametta and Jack Koppelman.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sol and Shirley Koppelman, of Fair Lawn.
Visiting hours will be from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, June 27, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., in Wyckoff. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home, with interment to follow.
