Born in Ridgefield Park, she lived in Maywood for more than 65 years. Prior to retiring, she was secretary for the Girl Scouts of Bergen County of Paramus. She was a member of the V. F. W. Auxiliary of Maywood, the Maywood P. T. A. and a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church of Maywood. She enjoyed and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Stewart Lo Presti and her husband Michael, Elaine Stewart and Harry Stewart; grandchildren, Jason Nunnermacker, James Nunnermacker and his wife Jill, Anthony Lo Presti, and Alyssa Cartmill; great-grandchildren, Layla and Charlotte.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Stewart, and sister, Dorothy Zack.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 3 from 5-8 p.m. at Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union St., Hackensack. Prayer service is on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
