MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Alfred E. Kuss, 81, of Maywood, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in Maywood for 52 years.
Prior to retiring, Kuss worked for NJ Bell Telephone Company for 38 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time at his cabin in upstate New York.
He was the husband of the late Joan (nee Monstery); father of Wayne and his partner Ana, Laura Russell and her husband Daniel and Greg and his wife Jaclyn; grandfather of Kaitlyn, Ryan, Morgan, William, Rosa and Emily; and brother of Virginia Plesnarski.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home. There will be a private cremation.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to American Legion Post #142, 135 E. Passaic St., Maywood, NJ 07607.
