Preliminary information indicates that Angel Gonzalez, 14, was found unresponsive in Newark and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died, Kearny police said. The cause and manner of death are pending an investigation by the regional medical examiner’s office.
The police department advises the community that this appears to be an isolated event and there is no danger to the community at-large.
