The goal of the project is to provide the business district on Maywood Avenue between Hunter Avenue and the train tracks a facelift that will include everything from new sidewalks and cobblestone curbing to benches and new street lights, said NorthJersey.com.
The upgrades will be paid for with a $150,000 grant, according to NorthJersey.com. The project will be undertaken in two phases, with Phase 1 including the area from Central Avenue to the train tracks and Phase 2 encompassing the area south of the train tracks, added NorthJersey.com.
