ASBURY PARK, N.J. -- As his arena dates in Newark and New York City draw closer, Paul McCartney reportedly had dinner with his wife on Labor Day weekend at a landmark Asbury Park restaurant.

"I was having dinner at Jimmy's in Asbury Park last night, and when I looked up from my stuffed artichoke, there was Sir Paul, Nancy and a few friends being seated at a table across from us," Frank Mozino of Little Silver posted on Facebook on Monday. "What are the odds?"

McCartney's wife, Nancy Shevell -- who grew up in Metuchen -- has family who live in nearby Deal. McCartney himself is rumored to have a house there.

The couple was reportedly seen having lunch earlier at the exclusive Jersey Shore community's Hollywood Golf Club.

Shevell's grandfather had a dry goods store on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park that eventually became Walters Department Store.

She's currently the vice-president of her family's Elizabeth-based trucking company (SEE: Murder, the Mob and the new Lady Macca).

McCartney is resuming his "One on One" tour beginning on 9/11 at the Prudential Center in Newark. He's also there on the 12th.

"Macca" plays Madison Square Garden on Sept. 15 and 17, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sept. 19 and 21 and then the Nassau Coliseum on Sept. 26 and 27.

Jimmy's Italian Restaurant, a Jersey Shore landmark, has fed, among others, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta and Danny DeVito -- and, now, a former Beatle.
